COSTS
The overall costs of an international adoption fluctuate depending on requirements of the international source and particularities of the case; including, but not limited to the home study agency fee (when out of state), time of year in which you travel, travel destination, geographical location of the orphanage, age or special needs status of the child, etc.
To better serve you, and to assist you in determining particular costs relevant to your family circumstances, please fill out our Preliminary Questionnaire, and you will be contacted by a staff member within a few days after we have received it.

Children’s International has a program “Adoption for Everyone” which is designed to financially assist families with lower incomes. If you are serious about adopting a child and need financial assistance you can find help with your adoption expenses and in some cases get an Adoption Grant from our agency through the “Adoption for Everyone” program. To determine your eligibility for such assistance please fill out our Preliminary Questionnaire, and you will be contacted by a Children’s International advisor. This fund provide limited eligibility, but we are trying to widen its possibilities.
For most applicants, we suggest that with careful financial planning, you can make adoption an affordable option for your family. There are other financial supports for adoptive families including the following which may be helpful for your family:

The credit can be applied against tax liability over six years or with $10,000 cap, whichever comes first.
